Do you know that "fluoride" is in your drinking water? It's also in most commercial toothpastes.
Looking on the two different popular brands of toothpastes in my possession this morning I clearly see on the tube, the message in small print:
Keep out of reach of children younger than 6 years of age. If more than used for brushing is accidentally swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
What? What, what? Susceptibility to sickness or death is less possible on the day we turn 6 years of age? Do they try to suggest that unlike strychnine poisoning sodium fluoride is not dangerous if used in the mouth rather than ingested by swallowing?
